Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
TrackMatch (“TrackMatch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain what information our website (the “Site”) collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
The Site is designed to minimize the personal information it touches. We do not ask for, and the assessment does not require, your name, email address, phone number, street address, exact revenue, employee names, vehicle identification numbers, or precise asset locations.
Assessment responses. Your progress is saved in browser session storage. We send your answers to our servers to calculate recommendations. We send selected answer options, question progress, and recommendation outcomes to Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the assessment is used. We do not maintain a separate application event log or event database.
Usage and analytics data. We use Vercel Web Analytics to collect usage events — for example, which step of the assessment was reached, which question was answered, or which recommendation was clicked. Vercel processes these events through its analytics service. We do not add our own assessment-attempt identifiers or IP metadata to custom event properties.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and general device information) for security, performance, and aggregate reporting purposes.
2. How we use information
- To generate your GPS and equipment-tracking recommendation.
- To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Site.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We use responses to understand assessment attempts and product fit. We do not require an account or attach your name or email to these attempts, and we do not sell personal information.
3. Cookies and analytics
Vercel Web Analytics, our analytics provider, is designed to measure aggregate site usage without using cookies to identify individual visitors. Your assessment progress is stored in first-party browser session storage (not a cookie) so you can move between steps without losing your answers; it is cleared when you close the browser tab or restart the assessment. We do not create separate analytics identifiers in browser storage. Clearing browser storage does not delete events already received by Vercel.
4. Referral links and compensation
The Site may include referral or affiliate links to third-party providers. If you click one of these links, the provider may receive information that you came from our Site, and we may receive compensation as described in our Affiliate Disclosure. Once you leave our Site, your interaction with that provider is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, not this one.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who host the Site and provide analytics (currently Vercel), under obligations consistent with this Policy.
- Third-party providers you choose to visit through a referral link, limited to the fact of the referral.
- Others where required to comply with law, protect our rights, or respond to a valid legal process.
6. Data retention
Browser progress lasts for the tab session or until you restart. Analytics data is retained by Vercel according to the service plan and applicable settings. Closing the tab or restarting does not erase analytics data already collected.
7. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your choices and rights
Because the assessment does not collect personal identifiers, most data-access or data-deletion requests will not return additional information beyond what is described in this Policy. You can clear your locally stored assessment progress at any time by clearing your browser's session storage or using the “Start over” option in the assessment. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants you specific privacy rights (such as the right to know, access, or delete personal information), you may contact us using the information in Section 11 and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled by the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
